  • Business market a key focus area for Three UK
  • John Dunican appointed to dual role as Director of MVNO and Carrier Services in UK and Ireland

Three UK today announces the appointment of Mike Tomlinson as its new Managing Director of Business, responsible for scaling Three’s growing business division. In this newly created role, Mike will develop Three’s B2B presence in the UK, building on its SME offer announced in 2019 and its established private networks division.

Mike has a wealth of experience in the telecoms industry, having previously held roles at EE, Virgin and BT. His most recent experience, advising tech and telecoms firms on the broader B2B market, puts him in good stead to use Three’s major £2bn+ network investments to create modern and innovative solutions that help meet the evolving needs of UK businesses.

With a new enterprise IT platform provider, Amdocs, already on board, Mike will lead the strategic development and launch of a full suite of products for all segments of the B2B market including SME and large corporate. He started his new role at the beginning of August.

Robert Finnegan CEO Three UK said: “Our business division will be a key focus area for the company and Mike’s appointment is critical to helping us develop a leading position in the market. Mike has been in the industry a long time and has the knowledge and skillset to build on the strong foundations from our Three Means Business launch last year.”

Mike Tomlinson, Managing Director of Business Three, said: “I’m delighted to be joining Three and I’m excited by the opportunity to scale our growing business division at a time when Three is making significant investments in network, technology and customer experience.”

Three also announces that John Dunican has taken on the expanded role of Director of MVNO and Carrier Services for Three UK and Three Ireland.

John is responsible for driving the strategy and commercial performance of our MVNO, wholesale roaming, interconnect and messaging businesses across both territories.

He has more than 15 years telecoms experience having joined Telefonica O2 Ireland in 2004 and worked in a number of roles across Wholesale, Product Management and Business Strategy.
