Celebrating our 2022 All Stars – Lee Barrett

At the end of last year, we announced our 2022 All Stars. Our All Stars are the individuals, stores and teams who truly excelled in living our Values and deserved special recognition.

Becoming an All Star is an amazing achievement, and we want to celebrate and learn more about the winners. Over the coming year, we’ll be interviewing our 2022 All Stars and the next in our series is Lee Barrett.

Tell us about your role and your career to date at Three.

I have been part of the Three family for 2 years as a store manager, I moved to Three as their vision and ethics seemed in line with my own values around people, I have supported area 15 and helped grow and maintain a fantastic team that support each other.

How did being awarded an All Star make you feel and what does it mean to you?

It is unbelievable to be recognised and I was very proud of receiving this but didn’t or wouldn’t expect anything for just doing my job.

What are your favourite things about working at Three?

Working for Three to me is all about the team, the support you receive from the entire business is great everybody is contactable nobody is too big to listen and support.

What do our values mean to you and which one do you most connect with?

Values to me are everything having 20 years experience in retail I believe in treating everyone as I would like to be treated, the values is what makes a business, If we focus on the customer external and internal we cannot go wrong.

What is the best career advice you ever received?

Control the controllable, and the honest conversation is not always the easiest to have but best one to have.

How do you unwind off from work?

My family is how I unwind from work or is work how I unwind from my family. The family is why I work and giving my children time is so important

Have you any plans for spending your All Star award?

A family Holiday is overdue so it will go towards a summer holiday

How does receiving a 3celebrates make you feel and what do you like about the platform?

3celebrates gives us a great opportunity to recognised anyone that has helped, supported from the entire business as well as celebrating your own team’s success or achievements.

How do you ensure you use 3Celebrates to give back to your colleagues often?

I have a diary invite to make sure people are celebrated and I have time to complete these, I keep a list in my diary and send celebrations once a week.
