Celebrating our 2023 All Stars: Motiur Rahman

At Three, we know the importance of recognising our people. Our 3Celebrates programme is our way of celebrating our people for living our values.

Throughout the year, employees send each other ‘thank you’ cards to show their appreciation of the work they have done. Anyone who receives a thanks can be selected as a Monthly Star, Annual Star or All Star and can receive special recognition along with financial awards.

At the end of last year, we announced our 2023 All Stars. Our All Stars are the individuals, stores and teams who truly excelled in living our Values.

All Stars were nominated by the Leadership teams and all their Thanks were reviewed by a judging panel of people from across the business.

Becoming an All Star is an amazing achievement, and we want to celebrate and learn more about the winners. Over the coming year, we’ll be interviewing our 2023 All Stars and the next in our series is Motiur Rahman.

Motiur was recognised as being outstanding all throughout 2023, taking the top spot and many of the region’s rankings including being a Club 100 winner. Customers love to come and visit Moti. We receive nothing but positive feedback of the back of his customer interactions.

Motiur really propelled themselves this year, truly going above and beyond to support every store in the area, whether to just help them trade or help boost their knowledge by sharing his best practises. In addition, he’s also taken responsibility to deliver consistently high OSR ratings and a brilliant QA performance to what he has demonstrated exceptional behaviours this year and as always stepped up to support his customers and colleagues in just a moment’s notice.

Tell us about your role and your career to date at Three

I am a customer service advisor at Three, and I have been a part of the company for 3 years now at the Burnley store.

How did being awarded an All Star make you feel and what does it mean to you?

Being awarded the All Star makes me feel very proud of myself. I will definitely have to say it has been one of my best achievements to date. Winning the Three version of the Ballon d’Or was indeed a proud moment for myself and my family.

What are your favourite things about working at Three?

I enjoy working with my whole team and management, I feel very appreciated and involved in every success.

What do our values mean to you and which one do you most connect with?

At Three we appreciate each other and our achievements through awards and compliments, which mean a lot to me as I feel valued and recognised.

What is the best career advice you ever received?

The best advice I have received is to keep on striving to do better every day.

How do you unwind/switch off from work?

Family is my most valuable asset, and spending quality time with them, especially my 2 beautiful boys, helps me unwind myself from work life.

Have you any plans for spending your All Star award. 

I have recently purchased a new family home and will be spending all of it towards it.

How does receiving a 3celebrates make you feel and what do you like about the platform?

I believe the 3celebrates is a brilliant platform. It’s a good feeling to receive thank you  cards from fellow colleagues and managers.

How do you ensure you use 3Celebrates to give back to your colleagues often?

I utilise the 3Celebrates by sending thank you cards regularly to my colleagues.
