Three’s Response To Ofcom’s Strategic Review of Digital Communications


“It is good  that Ofcom is seeking to deliver a service that the UK desperately needs. However, we are disappointed  that Ofcom’s review and conclusions do not address the very significant imbalance in the distribution of spectrum in the UK which favours two incumbent operators and significantly inhibits Three’s ability to compete, innovate and grow. That is needed if Ofcom is to fulfil its mandate to ensure the existence of a competitive mobile market for the benefit of UK consumers. Through our proposed merger with O2 UK, we will ensure that imbalance is addressed and deliver a superior mobile broadband service for consumers and businesses across both urban and rural areas.”
