Three UK announces changes to leadership team

Three UK has today announced changes to its senior management team.

Tom Malleschitz, currently Chief Marketing Officer, will move into a newly created role as Chief Digital Officer. In this role he will focus on maximising the opportunity to strengthen and grow digital products and services for the company – both in the UK and across the Hutchinson group.

Tom joined Three UK over five years ago on a mission to change the brand position from cheap price and low quality to a brand with a clear purpose that puts customers first and knocks down barriers to change the mobile industry for the better.  This led to the creation of #makeitright, which has become the driving force behind the company. Abolishing roaming, offering All You Can Eat data, and not charging extra for 4G are just some examples where Three has shaken up the industry.

Grant Stevenson has also been appointed to the role of Chief Commercial Officer where he will lead Three’s customer-facing channels. Grant has over 11 years of experience, working for CK Hutchison in a variety of mobile businesses around the world.  In addition to roles in Hutchisons joint venture with Vodafone in Australia, Grant has also worked with our Three businesses in Sweden and Denmark.

The responsibility for marketing operations will be managed in the interim by Lianne Norry, director of brand & comms and Marsha Lenihan, director of strategy and insights.

Notes to Editors

*Any existing contract, SIM only and broadband customers will need to change to a higher price plan in order to benefit from the removal of data charges across the four services, Netflix, TVPlayer, Deezer and SoundCloud. New customers on eligible plans will automatically have the service enabled although customers can opt-out. The service will provide all-you-can-eat (AYCE) streaming access to the four services for customers on Advanced plans with a 4GB or above data allowance.

**Please note: Some of the selected services require subscriptions.
