Three shares top ratings in Rootmetrics Network Reliability Index in the UK
Three has been rated the most reliable network in Scotland, Northern Ireland, and shares top
rankings in the RootMetrics Reliability Index in 12 cities, according to the
RootMetrics First Half 2014 RootScore®
Report.
Three shares top rankings in the RootMetrics Reliability Index in 12 of 16 cities tested
including London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Belfast. This accolade comes less
than eight months since Three officially began rolling out 4G, demonstrating
the strength of both the 3G and 4G network.
The RootMetrics Reliability Index is comprised of results across data, call, and
text testing, and measures how consistent a network performs.
To test how the four major mobile networks performed in the UK for its First Half 2014
RootScore Report, RootMetrics drove nearly 40,000 kilometres – the distance
from Land’s End to John O’Groats 28 times – and carried out more than 900,000
tests. The RootMetrics mobile network test results are considered the most
comprehensive available.
Bryn Jones, Three’s Chief Technology Officer, said: “A reliable network is an
essential part of delivering an enjoyable experience for our customers. We’ve
invested heavily to ensure our customers can rely on a consistent service and
as our 4G rollout progresses we will continue to focus on delivering the best
mobile experience possible.”
