Three rewards latest Community Fund beneficiaries

We’re delighted to announce the latest winners of the Community Fund! These grants, totalling £5,000, were recently awarded to five incredible charitable organisations, all nominated by our people.

A huge congratulations to our Q4 (2024) winners!

£2,000 award – Team Charlie

Team Charlie provides grants to cover the costs faced by families of children living with brain tumours. This can be something like a special day out or break away with the family, or a contribution to help fulfil a child’s wish. The purpose is to create a positive experience and to offer an opportunity to make memories. 100% of proceeds goes directly to each child.

Nominated by Olivia Wells-King, Finance

What does this mean for the charity?

“When we received the news that we had been awarded £2,000 from Three, we were absolutely thrilled. What a great start to 2025! This amount will help us enormously. We are deeply grateful. Thanks a million for the nomination, and for being awarded this funding.

We are in the throes of fundraising for a holiday home, so that we can offer more beneficiaries along with their families some respite via free breaks away, at a time it is needed most. This amount of money takes us nearer our target, and will make such a difference, playing a pivotal part in our journey as a charity.”  Claire, Team Charlie

Nominated by Paul Burns, Technology

What does this mean for the charity?

“We would like to say a big thank you for the £500 donation. Without the kindness and support of companies and lovely people like Paul, our mission of assisting those in need would not be possible. This contribution will allow us to continue providing our essential services to anyone in need of a helping hand. Our fundraising is for the ongoing search for an appropriate building in our area, along with fundraising for day-to-day running costs of the charity.”

One primary effort includes feeding the homeless, ensuring that those in need receive nutritious meals and support. Volunteers have also been involved in park clean-ups, tree planting projects, and placing coir matting on lake banks.
