Statement from Robert Finnegan, CEO of Three UK, regarding attacks on 5G masts

Robert Finnegan, CEO, Three UK said:

“Engineers in Three are working through the coronavirus to keep people in the UK connected, to their loved ones and to their work. This is absolutely vital work and the actions of a small minority who are abusing workers and vandalising masts is extremely concerning.

“Telecoms services have never been more vital in ensuring that people are able to get the help that they need meaning that any damage to masts is putting lives at risk, so we ask that people report any suspicious activity around them immediately to the police.

“Fears around 5G masts are entirely baseless and we welcome the moves by government to dispel these myths. We thank our engineers for their vital work at this time and are doing everything we can to protect them.”
