Three rewards latest Community Fund beneficiaries

We’re delighted to announce the latest winners of the Community Fund. These grants, totalling £5,500, were recently awarded to six incredible charitable organisations, all nominated by our people.

A huge congratulations to our Q2 winners!

£2,000 award – Anam Cara Fasgadh

Anam Cara Fasgadh is a Scottish charity, founded by four friends united by love, loss, and a shared vision: to provide comfort, compassion, and meaningful respite for families affected by the death of a baby, child, or young person.

Customer Interaction Routing Specialist, Jonathan McLeish, was helped by Anam Cara Fasgadh, which led to his nomination.

What does this mean for the charity?

“VodafoneThree’s generous donation of £2,000 has brought Anam Cara Fasgadh significantly closer to reaching our £50,000 target to fund a second retreat space for bereaved families. This support will enable us to provide free, healing breaks to an additional 50 families a year from across the UK who are grieving the loss of a baby, child, or young person.

Alongside these gentle breaks, we provide memory-making opportunities, peer support, and the chance for bereaved families to come together at memorial events where they can honour and remember their child — including our beautiful butterfly release ceremonies and the opportunity to have their child’s name engraved on our national Trees of Tranquility.

Your support is not only helping us purchase a second static caravan — it is helping to build a legacy of love, connection, and remembrance for grieving families across the country. We are truly humbled by your kindness and commitment to causes that matter to your employees and their communities. Thank you for helping us ensure no bereaved family feels alone.”

£1,000 award – Stick ‘n’ Step

Stick ‘n’ Step is a charity which provides free conductive education sessions to enable, inspire and support children with cerebral palsy and their families.

Mike Newby in our Business team nominated the charity. “One of my good friend’s six-year-old daughter has cerebral palsy, and Stick ‘n’ step have been an absolute blessing for his family and many others across the North West.”

What does this mean for the charity?

The money will help the charity continue to provide these life-changing services. “A huge thank you from us all at Stick ‘n’ Step for your donation, we really do appreciate it.”

£1,000 award – Bear Necessities

Bear Necessities supports families in North Lanarkshire and beyond with baby and children essentials to ensure that no child goes without. From nappies and formula to stairgates and clothing and toys, they aim to provide all that is needed to support families in caring for children aged 0-16 years.

Bear Necessities helped Fraud Advisor, Nicola Clements, at a time of need. “Without them my child wouldn’t be as social and confident as he is. I also met life-long friends there.”

What does this mean for the charity?

“A massive thank you to Nicola Clements and VodafoneThree for supporting Bear Necessities. We believe that every child should have the best start in life no matter the circumstances they are born into. Your donation means that we can continue to support the babies and children who are referred to us by providing free classes so that every child can have the opportunity of experiencing play and other activities in a safe and welcoming environment.”

£500 award – Dare2Care

Dare2Care’s purpose is to help families who, without the charity’s help, wouldn’t be unable to experience the magic of Christmas. Their most important rule is that the family’s dignity and pride remain intact by ensuring that all shopping and deliveries are done anonymously.

Stephen Clifford (Business) volunteers for, and nominated, Dare2Care.

What does this mean for the charity?

“Thank you so much for your kind donation to Dare2Care. Last year we were able to increase our gift budget to £250 per child, and this year we would like to continue this. Therefore, your kind donation will create the magic of Christmas for two very deserving children.”

£500 award – 2nd Ifield (St Margarets) Scouts

Rebecca Riddell (Retail)’s daughter is scout (and former cub) at the group. “I am aware there are many scout groups around, but these guys go above and beyond in everything they do and offer to our children. The activities they complete weekly are fantastic and many camps are meticulously organised – all by volunteers. They have a superb hut, but there are always costs with maintenance and additional activities. They are such fantastic people and have been a real godsend to me.”

What does this mean for the charity?

“The donation from VodafoneThree will be used to purchase items to support equipment we need to undertake our program of activities. With so many members and activities, our equipment is well-used and needs to be regularly updated. I can’t thank you enough from the group for the donation towards this.”

£500 award – Riya’s Rainbows

Riya’s Rainbows is a charity which raises funds to support children and families facing difficulties. Their mission is to create ‘rainbows’ of hope, with a focus on fundraising for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Grief Encounter (a charity dedicated to helping bereaved children, young people and their families find hope and healing after the death of someone close). They aim to bring light even in life’s darkest moments and offer support where it’s needed most. The charity was started by the brother of Arvin Hirani in our Digital team.

What does this mean for the charity?

“Riya’s Rainbows would like to sincerely thank VodafoneThree for their generous donation. Your support will make a meaningful difference to the lives of the children we help, bringing more joy, hope, and opportunities to those who need it most. Many thanks again for your support.”

Congratulations to all winners and thank you to all our applicants.
