Three-bie: Festival goers can get unlimited data, calls and texts from Three UK this summer
- Three UK launches the nation’s most ambitious* unlimited eSIM trial
- To celebrate the offer, Three have crafted the ultimate symbol of the British festival season, the bucket hat, out of 500 recycled SIM cards
10th June 2025: Three UK, the network connecting some of the country’s most iconic festivals, is launching the nation’s most ambitious unlimited eSIM trial. From 14 June, starting at Rockstar presents Parklife Festival, music fans can try the UK’s Fastest 5G Network** for free, with unlimited UK data, calls and texts for 7 days and experience the life of a Three customer as they enjoy the festival experience. The trial will be rolled out across the country to other festivals, sponsored by Three.
To mark the launch of the eSIM trial, Three has put a new twist to an iconic British festival staple — the bucket hat. Crafted from 500 recycled ‘traditional’ SIM cards – no longer needed when using eSIM technology.
Fans who have tickets to any of the six festivals including Rockstar presents Parklife, Rockstar presents Wireless, Rockstar presents TRNSMT, Klarna presents Latitude, Rockstar presents Reading & Leeds and Audi presents Wilderness, will be invited to pre-register for the eSIM trial to enjoy all the network benefits at the festival, and also relish all the perks and rewards on Three+ including big deals on brands such as Moonpig, Cineworld, plus £1 barista-made drinks every week from local cafés and shops and Caffè Nero. As well as early access to music gigs and comedy events – so people across the country can feel the ‘Glow’ of being a Three customer.
When on site at the festivals, eSIM customers can party like a Three customer too and get exclusive access to the Three platform for the best viewing experience at the festivals and discover all the onsite offers including free phone charging. All they need to try the network for free is an eSIM-compatible smartphone – no need to change their number.
Andrew Foy, Director of New Products and Propositions, from Three UK says: “We power some of the UK’s most iconic festivals with our 5G Network and we know how important it is to stay in touch with your friends and loved ones this summer. Helping keep music fans connected with this trial will also give people the chance to experience first-hand the glow of being a Three customer and our network.”
This news follows on from the UK’s first large-scale eSIM trial, as Three Business offered organisations based in Birmingham and Bristol to trial Three’s network before committing to switching providers.
